Key Responsibilities

Take part in leading monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Conduct research on technical accounting guidance under U.S. GAAP, draft memos, and maintain internal accounting policies for areas such as revenue recognition, leases, and stock-based compensation.
Prepare financial statements, audit-ready workpapers, and standard reporting packages for management and external stakeholders.
Act as a primary contact for external auditors, coordinate audit requirements, and assist with internal control implementations.
Partner cross-functionally with legal, finance, people, and operations departments to review customer contracts and support strategic corporate transactions.
Identify and implement process improvements to automate accounting workflows and build scalable infrastructure for a growing business.

Requirements

Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting alongside a CPA or active pursuit of a CPA license.
Bring a minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience within public accounting firms or high-growth technology companies.
Demonstrate strong technical accounting knowledge of U.S. GAAP principles and financial statement preparation.
Possess experience supporting month-end close processes and financial statement audits.
Display advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication capabilities.

Nice to Have

Previous experience working in Big Four or national public accounting firms.
Background within a high-growth SaaS, AI, or technology sector enterprise.
Familiarity with specific accounting standards including ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 718.
Experience dealing with complex equity structures, capitalization tables, debt instruments, and warrants.
Prior involvement in designing internal controls, implementing ERP financial systems, or working with tools like NetSuite, Salesforce, and QuickBooks.
