Baseten requires a dedicated specialist to bring their people systems in-house and establish robust internal operations as the company scales. Bringing on their first Workday Analyst addresses the need to manage tenant ownership from go-live onward while implementation is currently underway.
The chosen candidate operates in a hands-on configuration capacity, building business processes, managing security roles, handling data loads, and navigating the twice-yearly release cycle. Working closely with the deployment partner, the People team, Accounting, and IT, the analyst directly configures the system rather than relying on external consultants.
Ideal candidates bring deep customer-side administration experience and a preference for direct, hands-on building rather than inheriting legacy configurations. What you will do
- Manage daily tenant configuration tasks including business processes, security groups, calculated fields, and custom reports.
- Execute and manage EIB loads for data updates, mass changes, and regular audits.
- Coordinate the semi-annual Workday release cycle by evaluating new features and overseeing regression testing.
- Collaborate with the deployment partner during the implementation phase to prepare for complete tenant ownership.
- Partner with IT and external vendors to monitor integrations and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Collaborate with Accounting and external payroll providers to support payroll configuration.
- Resolve system inquiries and requests submitted by employees, managers, and the People team.
- Train and mentor colleagues so Workday administration knowledge is shared across the team.
What you need
- Bring four or more years of experience administering a live Workday tenant directly on the customer side.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Workday HCM core functions, including Report Writer, security administration, and business process configuration.
- Show proficiency with EIBs and end-to-end data load management.
- Have experience shipping multiple Workday releases and managing release testing.
- Possess a hands-on builder's mindset with a preference for direct configuration work.
- Maintain clear written communication skills for documentation and change management notes.
