Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical assembly, metal drilling, tapping, fastening, and wire stripping, cutting, and crimping using basic hand tools and correct PPE.
Interpret control and electrical manufacturing drawings, schematics, and HPI standards for accurate component layout and mounting.
Prepare, size, label, and terminate cables properly using electronic and handheld label machines and correct ferrule sizes.
Differentiate between power and control wiring systems, and assemble and loom wiring harnesses according to internal guidelines.
Install and mount field devices, accurately terminating cables to instrumentation, marshaling cabinets, and junction boxes.
Communicate effectively with project engineers and team members regarding manufacturing processes and maintain sufficient material levels.
Adhere strictly to safety and quality standards in a designated safety-sensitive manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Possess 0 to 2+ years of prior experience in an electronic assembly environment or as an electrician's apprentice.
Demonstrate the ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics along with a strong mechanical aptitude.
Understand fundamental electronic and electrical theory.
Physical capability to occasionally lift, lower, push, and pull materials up to 50 lbs, and stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods of 8 hours or more daily.
High attention to detail, collaborative team player mentality, and a strong willingness to learn new techniques.
Ability to pass a background check and participate in a required drug and alcohol program due to the safety-sensitive nature of the facility.

Nice to Have

Completion of a vocational program or certification in electrical wiring or a related field.
Familiarity with specific industry wiring standards beyond basic understanding, such as IPC-WHMA-A-620.
Basic knowledge or experience in bending and installing electrical conduit.
Prior work history in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
Ability to check and make minor modifications to drawings as needed.
