About this role

The Vice President of Enterprise Risk and Compliance will own the day-to-day interface between enterprise risk management and second-line functions while building and operationalizing the Enterprise Risk Assessment process. Operating within the Finance team, this leader acts as the founding owner of the Global ERM and Compliance function at CoreWeave, designing governance structures that enable proactive risk management at scale. Responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact for the Board and Audit Committee, establishing a three-lines-of-defense model, and maintaining a centralized inventory of compliance requirements across all business units.

This role exists to guide one of the fastest-growing companies in the AI infrastructure space through complex global expansion, large balance sheet exposures, and operational scaling. A successful candidate brings deep enterprise risk leadership experience from high-growth technology or cloud environments, with a strong executive presence for presenting to C-suite leadership and boards. Individuals who thrive in ambiguous settings and possess a proven ability to construct risk programs from inception will find themselves well-aligned with the needs of this organization.

What you will do

  • Build and lead the Enterprise Risk team by hiring, developing, and managing risk professionals as the function scales.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Board and Audit Committee on enterprise risk matters.
  • Build and operationalize the Enterprise Risk Assessment process, including risk identification, assessment, prioritization, and a centralized risk register.
  • Design and implement a Key Risk Indicator framework to enable proactive risk monitoring and escalation.
  • Develop the enterprise risk appetite and tolerance framework to translate leadership vision into documented thresholds.
  • Centralize coordination of risk assurance activities across Security, Legal, Finance, and Operations functions.
  • Partner with IT and business leaders to enable technology-driven risk monitoring and reporting.
  • Maintain a centralized inventory of compliance requirements and obligations as a control tower for enterprise-wide visibility.

What you need

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in enterprise risk management or a closely related function.
  • Prior experience serving in a VP or equivalent enterprise risk leadership role.
  • Demonstrated track record of building enterprise risk management programs from inception rather than inheriting mature programs.
  • Strong executive presence with direct experience presenting to boards, audit committees, and C-suite leadership.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and building processes in fast-moving environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience at high-growth technology or cloud infrastructure companies with large balance sheet exposures, notable international presence, and complex partner arrangements.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance - 100% paid for by CoreWeave
  • Company-paid Life Insurance and voluntary supplemental life insurance
  • Short and long-term disability insurance, Flexible Spending Account, and Health Savings Account
  • Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Program participation
  • Paid Parental Leave, mental wellness benefits, and family-forming support
  • 401(k) with a generous employer match and flexible PTO
