Role Overview

CoreWeave seeks a Senior Security Engineer for networking initiatives to safeguard rapidly scaling cloud infrastructure hosting artificial intelligence workloads. The professional in this position designs and implements network security solutions covering data center perimeters and internal networks. Responsibilities include building resilient systems, enforcing zero trust principles, and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deploy security measures across network perimeters and internal fabrics, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and segmentation.
Implement a zero trust security model enforcing least-privilege access, continuous verification, and micro-segmentation.
Establish monitoring for network security events, identify vulnerabilities, and coordinate incident response efforts.
Collaborate with networking, infrastructure, and software engineering teams to integrate security best practices into architecture and deployments.
Secure high-density GPU clusters and ultra-low latency backend fabrics while protecting data in transport.
Foster a security-first organizational mindset through training sessions and enforcement of security policies.

Requirements

Possess three to seven years of hands-on experience in network security engineering within large-scale cloud or hyperscaler environments.
Understand network security principles, including DDoS mitigation, high-speed data center fabric security, web exploit defense, and zero trust methodologies.
Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, and HTTP/S, alongside firewall configurations and network segmentation.
Proven ability to contribute to security projects end-to-end and educate peer engineers.
Communication and collaboration skills for working across multiple technical teams.
Experience implementing security policies and familiarity with compliance frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC2.

Nice to Have

Prior experience in a top-tier cloud provider or hyperscale environment.
Experience designing zero trust networks including identity and access management and network access control.
Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages for task automation and infrastructure-as-code.
Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, or cloud security credentials.
Active involvement in the security community or contributions to open-source security projects.

Salary and Benefits

The base salary range is $153,000 to $204,000, determined by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
