Role Overview

This position centers on shaping the primary application interface for ActAI. The selected candidate will handle the complete user journey across multiple platforms, focusing on how individuals initiate tasks, monitor progress, maintain oversight, and handle recovery procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Own the user experience for core application surfaces on mobile and web platforms.
Build end-to-end flows for artificial intelligence tasks, covering intent capture, progress tracking, handoff, and error recovery.
Display system activities, decisions, and required user confirmations clearly within the interface.
Map out different application states including loading, thinking, acting, waiting, completing, and failing.
Partner with product, engineering, and machine learning teams to translate requirements into design solutions.
Execute usability research to identify points of user uncertainty or disengagement.
Deliver wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs for engineering implementation.
Contribute to shared interaction patterns and design systems.

Requirements

Background as a user experience designer working on consumer mobile or web applications, supported by a portfolio.
Proficiency in creating user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes.
Capability to design for asynchronous, context-dependent, and non-deterministic software systems.
Understanding of user trust, feedback, transparency, and control in artificial intelligence environments.
Practical background in conducting user research and applying findings to design choices.
Ability to manage shifting product scopes within fast-moving teams.
