Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Research and outline complete AI system requirements spanning capabilities, user impact, and behavior.
Translate data constraints, evaluation results, and model capabilities into product and system decisions.
Balance difficult trade-offs involving quality, cost, latency, reliability, and user experience.
Collaborate directly with backend, machine learning, and mobile engineers during system design and iteration.
Establish and develop evaluation frameworks utilizing offline metrics, human feedback, and online experiments.
Direct execution through disciplined prioritization, clear specifications, and sound judgment.
Deliver systems safely, quickly, and reliably backed by structured feedback loops.
Maintain end-to-end product quality centered on correctness, user trust, and predictability.

Requirements

Strong foundation in computer science principles including system design, algorithms, and data structures.
Solid comprehension of machine learning basics and production behavior for modern artificial intelligence systems.
Ability to review, read, and discuss technical design documentation.
Practical exposure to artificial intelligence applications, such as large language model systems.
Background handling model evaluation, feedback loops, and pipeline or prompt iteration.
Understanding of model drift, bias, limitations, and hallucinations.
Demonstrated background managing complex technical products from conception to completion.
Ability to collaborate effectively with machine learning professionals and senior engineers.
Strong decision-making skills suited for ambiguous and fast-paced settings.

Nice to Have

Background shipping consumer products heavy in artificial intelligence.
Previous experience working as an engineer or a technical product manager.
Experience establishing evaluation metrics for machine learning systems.
Intuition regarding failure handling and artificial intelligence user experience patterns.
