Role Overview

BJAK is hiring a Technical Product Manager to oversee a product vertical from strategy to launch. The person in this role will drive the development of financial products that handle real money, ensuring reliability, regulatory compliance, and effective integration of AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Own a complete product vertical, covering metrics, roadmaps, priorities, strategy, and final delivery.
Collaborate with engineering teams to shape technical designs related to data flows, APIs, security, ledgering, reconciliation, and scalability.
Balance trade-offs involving user experience, speed, correctness, cost, regulatory needs, and system reliability.
Integrate regulatory obligations into the product, covering KYC, transaction monitoring, privacy, limits, and licensing.
Apply artificial intelligence appropriately with proper evaluations, safeguards, human oversight, and failure management.
Navigate external constraints such as financial rails, regulatory approvals, and third-party partnerships during product shipping.
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders including Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of product management experience with end-to-end ownership of complex technical products.
Solid technical foundation covering system architecture, distributed systems, workflows, databases, failure modes, and APIs.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with engineers and contribute directly to technical designs.
Background in regulated high-consequence domains such as payments, banking, insurance, remittance, or trading.
Strong product judgment for handling technical, operational, and regulatory constraints.
Practical experience building AI products or working with LLMs, including reliability and evaluation frameworks.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or highly technical product roles.
Experience launching zero-to-one consumer products or fintech solutions.
Prior work defining evaluation frameworks specifically for machine learning or LLM-powered products.
