Role Overview

The Technical Product Manager oversees a product vertical from strategy and outcomes through technical design, delivery, and launch. The role involves building an artificial intelligence neobank superapp for Southeast Asia that handles payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, and trading. The candidate will navigate regulatory requirements, third-party financial rails, and integrate artificial intelligence where it genuinely improves user outcomes while maintaining deterministic control.

Key Responsibilities

Own a product vertical end-to-end, covering strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery.
Shape technical design alongside engineering across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability.
Balance trade-offs involving correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience.
Integrate regulatory requirements such as KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing directly into products.
Apply artificial intelligence with clear evaluation, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling.
Ship products while managing external dependencies, including regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners.
Align cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around product decisions.

Requirements

Five or more years of product management experience, including ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production.
Strong technical foundation encompassing system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems.
Experience collaborating closely with engineers to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs.
Background in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated and high-consequence product domain.
Product judgment capable of handling difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints.
Experience building with large language models or artificial intelligence products, including reliability and evaluation frameworks.

Nice to Have

Engineering or a highly technical product background.
Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products.
Experience defining evaluation frameworks for machine learning or large language model-powered products.
