Role Overview

Bjak is building an artificial intelligence investing superapp across payments, wealth, trading, remittance, and insurance for Southeast Asia. The Technical Product Manager takes full ownership of a product vertical from initial strategy and technical design to delivery and launch. The position operates remotely on a global team spanning multiple time zones, requiring clear communication in English.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a product vertical completely from metrics and strategy to delivery and priorities.
Collaborate with engineering on technical designs covering data flows, APIs, scalability, security, ledgering, and failure handling.
Balance priorities involving reliability, cost, speed, correctness, user experience, and regulations.
Incorporate regulatory standards such as privacy, licensing, transaction monitoring, and KYC into product builds.
Implement artificial intelligence solutions with proper safeguards, evaluation metrics, and human oversight where appropriate.
Coordinate stakeholders across design, engineering, finance, compliance, treasury, and operations.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of product management background overseeing complex technical systems from conception to production.
Solid technical knowledge regarding system architecture, APIs, distributed systems, databases, and failure modes.
Practical background collaborating closely with engineering teams to evaluate and challenge technical designs.
Prior work history within regulated domains like banking, payments, insurance, trading, or remittance.
Ability to apply large language models or artificial intelligence features with a focus on reliability and clear evaluation.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or deeply technical product management.
Track record of creating zero-to-one consumer or fintech offerings.
Experience establishing evaluation frameworks specifically for machine learning or large language model applications.
