Role Overview

bjakcareer seeks a Technical Product Manager to oversee an AI investing product vertical for Southeast Asia. The professional in this position will manage the vertical completely from strategy and metrics through technical design, delivery, and launch. The company operates globally with distributed teams across multiple countries and time zones.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a product vertical end-to-end, including strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery.
Shaping technical design alongside engineering teams concerning APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability.
Balancing trade-offs related to correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory needs, and user experience.
Incorporating regulatory requirements into the product covering KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing.
Integrating AI where it enhances outcomes while maintaining clear evaluation, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling.
Delivering products around external constraints such as regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners.
Synchronizing Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around product decisions and launch criteria.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, featuring ownership of complex technical products from strategy to production.
Technical foundation spanning system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems.
Background collaborating closely with engineers alongside the capacity to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs.
Experience in a regulated, high-consequence product domain such as payments, banking, remittance, insurance, or trading.
Product judgment suited for making difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints.
Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation, reliability, and determining when AI should not be applied.

Nice to Have

Engineering or highly technical product background.
Experience launching zero-to-one fintech or consumer products.
Experience defining evaluation frameworks for machine learning or LLM-powered products.
