Role Overview

BJAK is developing an AI Investing Superapp covering payments, wealth, trading, insurance, and remittance across Southeast Asia. The Technical Product Manager takes full ownership of a product vertical from initial strategy and technical design to delivery and launch. The position emphasizes reliability, regulatory compliance, and security within financial applications while integrating artificial intelligence where it adds measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a complete product vertical end-to-end, covering strategy, metrics, roadmaps, priorities, and final delivery.
Collaborate with engineering teams to shape technical designs involving APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, security, and scalability.
Balance priorities across speed, cost, correctness, reliability, user experience, and regulatory mandates.
Integrate regulatory compliance into products, addressing licensing, privacy, transaction monitoring, limits, and KYC procedures.
Apply artificial intelligence with appropriate safeguards, evaluation methods, failure handling, and human oversight.
Coordinate product releases involving external partners, financial rails, and regulatory approvals.
Synchronize cross-functional teams across engineering, design, treasury, finance, operations, and compliance.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, including end-to-end ownership of complex technical products.
Technical foundation covering distributed systems, databases, APIs, system architecture, and failure modes.
Ability to collaborate with engineers and critically evaluate technical designs.
Background in regulated domains such as banking, payments, remittance, insurance, or trading.
Experience developing products utilizing LLMs or artificial intelligence, including understanding reliability and evaluation.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or highly technical product management.
Experience creating zero-to-one consumer or fintech products.
Experience establishing evaluation frameworks for machine learning or LLM-driven features.
