Role Overview

The Technical Product Lead directs a product vertical completely, covering initial strategy, outcome definition, technical design, execution, and release. Located in Malaysia with hybrid office requirements, the position focuses on building AI-native financial systems that balance reliability, regulatory compliance, and user trust.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a product vertical completely, handling strategy, metric tracking, roadmap creation, prioritization, and execution.
Collaborate with engineering teams to shape technical designs concerning APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, security, and scalability.
Balance trade-offs involving correctness, speed, expenses, dependability, regulatory mandates, and user experience.
Integrate regulatory rules into features, covering KYC, transaction monitoring, threshold limits, privacy, and licensing.
Implement AI solutions with proper evaluation metrics, safety measures, human oversight, and error management.
Launch offerings while managing external dependencies such as regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners.
Coordinate stakeholders across engineering, design, compliance, operations, treasury, and finance.

Requirements

Five or more years of product management background, including full lifecycle ownership of complex technical products.
Technical foundation covering system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems.
Collaboration experience with engineers, including the capability to evaluate and challenge technical designs.
Background in regulated domains such as payments, banking, remittance, insurance, or trading.
Product judgment skills to navigate technical, regulatory, and operational constraints.
Experience developing AI or LLM-based products with a focus on reliability and evaluation.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or highly technical product functions.
Experience launching zero-to-one consumer or fintech offerings.
Experience designing evaluation frameworks specifically for machine learning or large language model applications.
