Role Overview

Bjak seeks a Technical Product Lead to manage a product vertical from initial strategy and technical design to delivery and launch. The position focuses on building financial platforms across payments, wealth, trading, and insurance. The professional will operate within a distributed international team spanning multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a complete product vertical, covering metrics, roadmaps, priorities, strategy, and final delivery.
Collaborate with engineering teams to shape technical designs involving data flows, APIs, ledgering, security, scaling, and failure handling.
Balance competing demands regarding correctness, speed, costs, user experience, compliance, and reliability.
Integrate regulatory obligations into product architecture, including privacy controls, transaction monitoring, licensing, and KYC procedures.
Implement AI solutions with proper evaluation methods, human oversight, and safeguards where they genuinely enhance user results.
Coordinate product launches around external constraints like financial rails, partner dependencies, and regulatory approvals.
Synchronize cross-functional groups such as finance, compliance, operations, design, engineering, and treasury around core decisions.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of product management background overseeing complex technical products from conception to production.
Solid technical competence regarding system architecture, APIs, databases, distributed systems, workflows, and failure modes.
Demonstrated capability to collaborate with engineers and actively contribute to technical designs.
Background in regulated high-consequence domains such as banking, insurance, payments, trading, or remittance.
Sound product judgment for navigating technical, operational, and regulatory limitations.
Practical experience developing solutions using AI or large language models, including reliability measures and evaluation.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or highly technical product roles.
Track record of creating zero-to-one consumer or fintech offerings.
Experience establishing evaluation metrics for machine learning or LLM-driven features.
