Role Overview

BJAK seeks a Technical Product Lead to own a product vertical end-to-end, managing everything from strategy and metrics to technical design, delivery, and launch. The position focuses on building an AI-native financial platform encompassing payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, and trading while balancing reliability, regulatory compliance, and distributed systems architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Own a product vertical completely, covering strategy, metrics, roadmaps, priority setting, and execution.
Collaborate with engineering teams on technical designs involving APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, security, and scalability.
Balance trade-offs related to correctness, speed, cost, reliability, user experience, and regulatory constraints.
Implement compliance requirements into the product, including KYC, transaction monitoring, privacy, and licensing limits.
Integrate AI functionality responsibly with proper evaluation, safeguards, and human oversight mechanisms.
Navigate external dependencies such as regulatory approvals and financial rails during product shipping.
Coordinate cross-functional groups including engineering, design, compliance, operations, treasury, and finance.

Requirements

Bring at least 5 years of product management experience overseeing complex technical products from strategy to production.
Possess a strong technical background in system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, and distributed systems.
Demonstrate the capability to work closely with engineers and contribute to technical designs.
Hold background experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or related regulated domains.
Show sound product judgment under technical, regulatory, and operational limitations.
Possess practical experience building with LLMs or AI products, focusing on reliability and evaluation.

Nice to Have

Possess an engineering or highly technical product background.
Bring experience creating zero-to-one fintech or consumer products.
Have experience designing evaluation frameworks for machine learning or LLM-based products.
