Role Overview

BJAK is hiring a Technical Product Lead to manage a product vertical from initial strategy and technical design to delivery and launch. The company operates globally with distributed team members across multiple countries and time zones, using English as the primary working language.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a product vertical end-to-end, covering strategy, metrics, roadmaps, priorities, and final delivery.
Collaborate with engineering teams to shape technical designs concerning APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, security, and scalability.
Balance tradeoffs involving system correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory needs, and user experience.
Integrate regulatory requirements such as KYC, transaction monitoring, data privacy, and licensing directly into products.
Implement artificial intelligence features with proper evaluation methods, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling.
Coordinate launches across external dependencies, financial rails, third-party partners, and regulatory approvals.
Align departments like Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around product goals.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from strategy to production.
Technical foundation covering system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, and distributed systems.
Practical background working closely with engineers to review and challenge technical designs.
Professional background in regulated and high-consequence domains such as payments, banking, remittance, insurance, or trading.
Experience launching artificial intelligence or large language model products with a focus on reliability and evaluation.
Strong English communication skills for collaborating within a distributed international team.

Nice to Have

Previous engineering or highly technical product background.
History of building zero-to-one fintech or consumer applications.
Experience creating evaluation frameworks for machine learning or large language model products.
