Role Overview

The Technical Product Lead at bjakcareer takes complete ownership of a product vertical, guiding initiatives across payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, and trading. The individual defines product strategy, shapes technical architecture, and integrates artificial intelligence where it genuinely improves user outcomes while maintaining strict deterministic controls. Working globally, the role requires balancing regulatory compliance, security, and financial transaction integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Owns a complete product vertical from initial strategy and metrics to roadmap prioritization and final delivery.
Collaborates with engineering teams to shape technical designs covering APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, security, and scalability.
Balances trade-offs involving system correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory demands, and user experience.
Incorporates regulatory mandates into products, including KYC, transaction monitoring, privacy, and licensing limits.
Deploys artificial intelligence with appropriate safeguards, evaluation methods, human oversight, and failure handling.
Navigates external dependencies such as regulatory approvals, third-party partners, and financial rails during product shipping.
Aligns cross-functional departments including engineering, design, compliance, operations, treasury, and finance.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, covering complex technical products from strategy to production.
Solid technical foundation encompassing system architecture, databases, APIs, workflows, and distributed systems.
Proven ability to collaborate closely with engineers and contribute directly to technical designs.
Background in regulated high-consequence domains such as banking, payments, remittance, insurance, or trading.
Demonstrated product judgment for navigating technical, operational, and regulatory constraints.
Experience building products using large language models or artificial intelligence with a focus on reliability and evaluation.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or highly technical product roles.
Experience launching zero-to-one consumer or financial technology products.
Experience creating evaluation frameworks for machine learning or LLM-driven applications.
