Role Overview

BJAK is hiring a Technical Product Lead for an AI Neobank Superapp operating across wealth, trading, insurance, remittance, and payments in Southeast Asia. This hybrid position requires working from the local office in Taipei at least three days per week, with the remaining days available for remote work. The professional in this role will handle products that move real money, requiring a strong focus on regulatory needs, reliability, and financial rails.

Key Responsibilities

Take complete ownership of a product vertical from strategy, metrics, and roadmaps to delivery.
Collaborate with engineering teams to shape technical design covering APIs, data flows, security, and scalability.
Balance trade-offs involving speed, cost, reliability, correctness, user experience, and regulatory constraints.
Integrate regulatory compliance measures into products, including KYC, privacy, transaction monitoring, and licensing.
Implement AI solutions with proper evaluation metrics, oversight, and safeguards where they genuinely improve outcomes.
Navigate external dependencies such as financial rails, third-party partners, and regulatory approvals.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, compliance, finance, treasury, design, and operations.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of product management experience managing complex technical products from concept to production.
Technical foundation covering system architecture, databases, APIs, distributed systems, and failure modes.
Practical experience collaborating with engineers to review and challenge technical designs.
Background in regulated high-consequence domains like banking, payments, remittance, trading, or insurance.
Product judgment to navigate operational, regulatory, and technical constraints.
Experience working with AI products or LLMs, including reliability and evaluation frameworks.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or a highly technical product discipline.
Experience launching zero-to-one consumer or fintech products.
Experience designing evaluation frameworks for machine learning or large language models.
