Role Overview

BJAK is building an AI Investing Superapp covering wealth, trading, insurance, payments, and remittance for users in Southeast Asia. The Technical Product Lead oversees a complete product vertical from initial strategy and technical design to delivery and launch. The position emphasizes reliability, regulatory compliance, and proper integration of artificial intelligence alongside deterministic systems.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a product vertical end-to-end, covering roadmap, metrics, strategy, prioritization, and delivery.
Collaborate with engineering teams to shape technical design for scalability, security, APIs, data flows, ledgering, and failure handling.
Balance trade-offs involving speed, cost, correctness, reliability, user experience, and regulatory demands.
Integrate regulatory standards into product features, including privacy, transaction monitoring, licensing, limits, and KYC.
Implement AI solutions with proper evaluation, safeguards, and human oversight where it genuinely benefits user outcomes.
Navigate external constraints such as financial rails, regulatory approvals, and third-party partners during product shipment.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including finance, compliance, treasury, operations, design, and engineering around launch requirements.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of product management experience, specifically handling complex technical products from strategy to production.
Technical foundation covering system architecture, APIs, distributed systems, workflows, databases, and failure modes.
Experience collaborating closely with engineers to evaluate and challenge technical designs.
Background in a regulated or high-consequence domain such as banking, trading, remittance, insurance, or payments.
Product judgment to navigate technical, operational, and regulatory constraints.
Hands-on experience developing AI products or Large Language Models with a focus on reliability and evaluation frameworks.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or a highly technical product role.
Track record of creating zero-to-one consumer or fintech products.
Experience designing evaluation frameworks specifically for LLM or machine learning products.
