Role Overview

Bjak is hiring a Technical Product Lead for AI Investing to own a product vertical completely from strategy to production in the United Kingdom. This hybrid role requires working from the local office at least three days per week while offering remote flexibility for the remaining days. The position focuses on creating financial applications for Southeast Asia covering wealth, trading, payments, remittance, and insurance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a product vertical completely, covering metrics, roadmaps, priorities, strategy, and delivery
Collaborate with engineering on technical design concerning data flows, APIs, ledgering, security, scalability, failure handling, and reconciliation
Balance trade-offs involving speed, cost, correctness, reliability, user experience, and regulatory demands
Integrate regulatory rules into features including privacy, transaction monitoring, limits, licensing, and KYC
Apply artificial intelligence with proper safeguards, evaluation, human oversight, and failure handling where it genuinely enhances results
Launch products dealing with external partners, financial rails, and regulatory approvals
Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, design, compliance, operations, finance, and treasury

Requirements

Minimum of five years of product management background overseeing complex technical products from conception to production
Solid technical foundation covering distributed systems, databases, APIs, system architecture, workflows, and failure modes
Demonstrated capability to collaborate with engineers and participate in technical designs
Background in regulated domains such as banking, payments, insurance, remittance, or trading
Sound product judgment for navigating operational, technical, and regulatory constraints
Experience developing products utilizing large language models or artificial intelligence, including reliability and evaluation

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or a strongly technical product discipline
Background in creating zero-to-one consumer or fintech products
Experience defining evaluation frameworks for machine learning or large language model applications
