Role Overview

BJAK is hiring a Technical Product Lead to drive an AI Finance Superapp across Southeast Asia, covering areas like payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, and trading. The position operates globally, with teams collaborating across multiple time zones and countries.

Key Responsibilities

Own a product vertical end-to-end, covering strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery.
Shape technical designs with engineering across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability.
Balance trade-offs involving correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory needs, and user experience.
Integrate regulatory requirements into products, including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing.
Apply AI effectively by incorporating clear evaluations, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling.
Ship products while navigating external dependencies such as regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners.
Align cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around product decisions and launch requirements.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, including ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production.
Strong technical foundation spanning system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems.
Proven ability to work closely with engineers to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs.
Background in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or a similarly regulated, high-consequence product domain.
Sound product judgment to navigate difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints.
Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation, reliability, and knowing when deterministic systems must remain in control.

Nice to Have

Engineering or highly technical product background.
Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products.
Experience defining evaluation frameworks for machine learning or LLM-powered products.
