Role Overview

BJAK is hiring a Technical Product Lead for an AI Finance Superapp covering payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, and trading. This remote position operates globally with a primary focus on the Philippines and requires managing product verticals from strategy and outcomes through technical design, delivery, and launch. The organization builds AI-native financial solutions where reliability, regulatory compliance, and third-party financial rails are central to the development process.

Key Responsibilities

Own a product vertical completely from strategy, metrics, and roadmap creation to final delivery and launch.
Collaborate with engineering teams to shape technical designs regarding APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, security, and scalability.
Balance decisions involving correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory mandates, and user experience.
Incorporate regulatory standards such as KYC, transaction monitoring, privacy, licensing, and transaction limits into product architectures.
Integrate artificial intelligence strategically with proper safeguards, evaluation frameworks, human oversight, and failure management.
Navigate external dependencies including regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party vendor integrations.
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders spanning engineering, design, compliance, operations, treasury, and finance.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from inception to production.
Solid technical foundation covering system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, distributed systems, and failure modes.
Demonstrated capability to collaborate with engineers and critically review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs.
Background in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or related regulated and high-consequence domains.
Proven product judgment to navigate difficult technical, regulatory, and operational trade-offs.
Hands-on experience building with large language models or artificial intelligence products, including reliability and evaluation.
Strong English communication skills for collaborating within a distributed international team.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or highly technical product roles.
Experience launching zero-to-one fintech or consumer applications.
Experience designing evaluation frameworks specifically for machine learning or LLM-powered systems.
