Role Overview

BJAK is seeking a Technical Product Lead for an AI Finance position to direct an AI Finance Superapp for Southeast Asia covering payments, wealth, trading, remittance, and insurance. The professional hired will manage a product vertical completely from formulation to launch, balancing deterministic systems with AI integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Directing a product vertical entirely, encompassing metrics, strategy, roadmaps, planning, and release execution.
Collaborating with engineering teams to formulate technical designs covering data flows, ledgering, security, APIs, reconciliation, scalability, and error handling.
Balancing competing demands including costs, delivery speed, system correctness, user experience, reliability, and legal compliance.
Integrating compliance mandates into features such as transaction monitoring, privacy protocols, user limits, licensing, and identity verification.
Implementing artificial intelligence technologies with appropriate safeguards, systematic evaluations, failure management, and human supervision.
Navigating external constraints like financial network rails, partner dependencies, and regulatory sign-offs to ship features.
Coordinating cross-functional groups including engineering, compliance, finance, operations, design, and treasury.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of product management background managing intricate technical systems from initial concept to production.
Solid technical competence regarding databases, distributed architectures, system designs, failure modes, workflows, and APIs.
Demonstrated capability to collaborate with software engineers and evaluate technical specifications.
Background working in structured industries such as banking, insurance, remittance, trading, payments, or similar high-consequence sectors.
Proven product discernment for navigating operational, legal, and engineering limitations.
Practical history developing artificial intelligence or large language model solutions with a focus on reliability and systematic testing.

Nice to Have

Background in software engineering or advanced technical product roles.
Track record of creating consumer applications or fintech products from scratch.
