Role Overview

BJAK is seeking a Technical Product Lead to drive the development of an artificial intelligence finance superapp across Southeast Asia. The position requires managing a product vertical from initial strategy and technical design through delivery and launch, balancing financial system reliability with regulatory constraints.

Key Responsibilities

Own a complete product vertical, managing strategy, metrics, roadmaps, priorities, and final delivery.
Collaborate with engineering teams to shape technical designs covering APIs, data flows, ledgers, security, and scalability.
Balance trade-offs involving correctness, speed, costs, reliability, regulatory mandates, and user experience.
Integrate regulatory compliance measures into products, addressing KYC, transaction monitoring, privacy, and licensing.
Implement artificial intelligence solutions with proper evaluation, safeguards, and human oversight where appropriate.
Coordinate multiple departments including engineering, design, compliance, operations, treasury, and finance.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of product management experience overseeing complex technical products from strategy to production.
Technical foundation covering system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, and distributed systems.
Background collaborating closely with engineers to review and contribute to technical designs.
Professional background in regulated domains such as payments, banking, remittance, insurance, or trading.
Experience developing applications utilizing large language models or artificial intelligence products.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or a highly technical product discipline.
Experience launching zero-to-one financial technology or consumer applications.
Experience creating evaluation frameworks for machine learning or large language model features.
