Role Overview

BJAK seeks a Technical Product Lead to direct an end-to-end product vertical for an artificial intelligence finance super application operating across Southeast Asia. The position requires managing strategy, metrics, roadmap priorities, technical design, and delivery while balancing regulatory compliance and reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities

Own a complete product vertical from initial strategy and roadmap creation through to final launch and performance metrics.
Collaborate with engineering teams to shape technical designs involving data flows, application programming interfaces, ledgering, reconciliation, security, and scalability.
Balance priorities involving operational costs, speed, reliability, user experience, correctness, and legal mandates.
Integrate regulatory requirements into software features, addressing licensing, privacy rules, transaction monitoring, and customer identification procedures.
Implement artificial intelligence features with proper safeguards, evaluation metrics, failure handling, and human oversight.
Navigate external dependencies such as financial rails, third-party partners, and regulatory approval gates.
Coordinate cross-functional departments including design, compliance, finance, treasury, operations, and engineering.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of product management background with direct ownership of complex technical offerings from concept to production.
Technical foundation covering system architectures, databases, distributed systems, application programming interfaces, workflows, and failure modes.
Practical experience collaborating closely with software engineers to review and challenge technical designs.
Background working within regulated, high-consequence domains such as banking, trading, remittance, insurance, or payments.
Judgment to navigate difficult compromises under operational, regulatory, and technical limitations.
Experience deploying large language models or artificial intelligence capabilities while understanding where deterministic systems remain necessary.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or deeply technical product management.
Track record of creating zero-to-one consumer or financial technology applications.
Experience establishing evaluation metrics for machine learning or large language model solutions.
