Role Overview

The Technical Product Lead at Bjak manages an AI finance superapp vertical spanning payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, and trading. The position requires balancing strict regulatory compliance, third-party financial rails, and deterministic system controls with practical AI implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Own a complete product vertical from initial strategy and metrics to delivery and roadmap prioritization.
Shape technical designs alongside engineering teams for APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, security, and scalability.
Navigate trade-offs involving cost, correctness, speed, reliability, user experience, and regulatory constraints.
Integrate regulatory requirements into products, covering KYC, transaction monitoring, privacy, and licensing limits.
Implement AI solutions with proper evaluation, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling.
Coordinate launches around external dependencies such as financial rails, regulatory approvals, and third-party partners.
Align cross-functional departments including engineering, design, compliance, operations, treasury, and finance.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of product management experience overseeing complex technical products from strategy to production.
Technical foundation covering system architecture, databases, APIs, workflows, and distributed systems.
Experience collaborating with engineers to review and challenge technical designs.
Background in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or a similarly regulated domain.
Product judgment to manage technical, regulatory, and operational trade-offs.
Experience building products using LLMs or AI, including reliability and evaluation frameworks.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or highly technical product management.
Experience launching zero-to-one consumer or fintech products.
Experience defining evaluation frameworks specifically for machine learning or LLM-powered features.
