Role Overview

BJAK is hiring a Technical Product Lead for AI Finance to direct the development of an artificial intelligence-driven financial super application across Southeast Asia. The position requires managing product verticals from initial strategy to technical design, delivery, and launch while balancing regulatory compliance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Direct a product vertical completely, covering strategy, metrics, roadmap planning, priority setting, and execution.
Collaborate with engineering teams to shape technical designs involving application programming interfaces, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability.
Balance trade-offs regarding correctness, speed, expenses, dependability, compliance, and user experience.
Integrate regulatory mandates into products, including know-your-customer protocols, transaction monitoring, threshold limits, privacy standards, and licensing.
Implement artificial intelligence solutions where they genuinely enhance results, supported by evaluations, safeguards, human oversight, and failure management.
Launch products while navigating external dependencies such as regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners.
Coordinate engineering, design, compliance, operations, treasury, and finance departments around product decisions and launch requirements.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of product management experience, including the end-to-end ownership of complex technical products from strategy to production.
Technical foundation covering system architecture, application programming interfaces, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems.
Background collaborating closely with engineers, with the ability to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs.
Experience working in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or related regulated and high-consequence domains.
Product judgment skills to manage difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints.
Practical experience building with large language models or artificial intelligence products, including reliability and evaluation frameworks.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or highly technical product development.
Experience creating zero-to-one financial technology or consumer products.
Experience designing evaluation frameworks tailored for machine learning or large language model-powered products.
