Role Overview

The Technical Product Lead guides an AI finance product vertical from initial strategy and metrics through technical design, delivery, and launch. Bjak operates globally with distributed teams, and this position functions remotely. The person in this role balances system reliability, regulatory demands, and third-party financial integrations while applying artificial intelligence appropriately to enhance user outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a product vertical end-to-end, covering strategy, metrics, roadmaps, priorities, and execution.
Collaborate with engineering on technical designs involving APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, security, and scalability.
Balance considerations related to correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory mandates, and user experience.
Integrate regulatory requirements into products, including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing.
Implement artificial intelligence solutions with proper safeguards, evaluation metrics, human oversight, and failure handling.
Coordinate launches around external dependencies such as regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners.
Align internal teams across engineering, design, compliance, operations, treasury, and finance.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from strategy to production.
Solid technical foundation spanning system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems.
Practical experience working alongside engineers to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs.
Background in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or related regulated and high-consequence domains.
Demonstrated product judgment to navigate technical, regulatory, and operational constraints.
Experience building with large language models or artificial intelligence products, including reliability and evaluation frameworks.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or highly technical product roles.
Experience creating zero-to-one fintech or consumer products.
Experience defining evaluation frameworks specifically for machine learning or large language model applications.
