Role Overview

BJAK seeks a Technical Product Lead to manage a product vertical within its artificial intelligence finance superapp for Southeast Asia. The position involves handling financial products across payments, insurance, wealth, trading, and remittance. The team operates globally with a distributed workforce across various time zones.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a product vertical completely from initial strategy and roadmap creation to delivery and metrics tracking.
Collaborating with engineering teams to shape technical designs covering system architecture, security, APIs, and scalability.
Balancing competing demands including correctness, operational speed, reliability, financial cost, and compliance.
Integrating regulatory needs such as privacy policies, transaction monitoring, licensing, and customer verification into the product.
Implementing artificial intelligence capabilities where appropriate while maintaining proper system safeguards and evaluations.
Coordinating cross-functional teams spanning finance, design, engineering, treasury, compliance, and operations.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of professional product management experience involving complex technical products taken from strategy to production.
Technical foundation covering databases, distributed systems, system architecture, workflows, and application programming interfaces.
Background in regulated high-consequence industries such as banking, insurance, payments, trading, or remittance.
Practical experience developing solutions using large language models or artificial intelligence systems alongside evaluation frameworks.
Strong capability to make decisions under strict regulatory, technical, and operational constraints.

Nice to Have

Background in engineering or highly technical product development.
Experience launching consumer or financial technology products from scratch.
Background in designing evaluation systems for machine learning or large language model applications.
