Direct execution through prioritization, specifications, and technical judgment.
Detect failure modes to maintain predictable artificial intelligence behavior and graceful recovery.
Maintain end-to-end product quality, trustworthiness, usefulness, correctness, and reliability.

Requirements

Possess strong computer science foundations and system design abilities.
Understand modern machine learning and production behavior of artificial intelligence systems.
Ability to read technical designs, review architectures, and collaborate with engineers.
Demonstrate intuition regarding model limitations, hallucinations, failure modes, and evaluation.
Bring significant experience managing complex technical products from start to finish.
Provide hands-on experience working with artificial intelligence products, particularly large language model systems.
Experience handling model evaluation, iteration, prompting, or experimentation.
Capacity to transform ambiguous problems into measurable outcomes, clear requirements, and executable plans.
Exhibit sound judgment to make decisions in ambiguous situations.

Nice to Have

Experience launching artificial intelligence heavy consumer products.
Previous background operating as an engineer or technical product manager.
Experience establishing evaluation metrics for machine learning systems.
