Role Overview

bjakcareer hires a Technical Lead, Machine Learning in China to own the execution layer of company intelligence. The position centers on bridging research, systems, and product development to create proactive applications that reduce hallucinations and handle long-running workflows with minimal prompting.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end machine learning systems across data, training, evaluation, inference, and deployment.
Create and develop training and fine-tuning pipelines for large models.
Create evaluation systems measuring capability, robustness, safety, and real-world product performance.
Build high-performance inference systems focusing on latency, GPU utilization, memory, cost, and reliability.
Construct data pipelines for high-quality real-world and synthetic training data.
Set up production infrastructure to deploy, monitor, and continuously improve models.
Collaborate with research and application engineering teams to translate model capabilities into product updates.
Make practical technical trade-offs and iterate based on real-world performance.

Requirements

Demonstrated background in building and shipping production machine learning systems rather than research prototypes.
Solid comprehension of modern large-model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and inference.
Firm foundation in software engineering and systems.
Background running machine learning workloads at scale, specifically with GPU-based systems.
Sound technical judgment and independence in solving ambiguous problems.
Focus on experimentation, measurement, and shipping.
