Role Overview

The Strategic Partnerships Dealmaker serves in a frontline capacity to build crucial relationships with platforms, enterprises, and standards bodies for Walrus. Operating remotely from the USA, the professional in this role collaborates with the Head of Partnerships to execute high-value transactions. Candidates help position Walrus Memory effectively within the artificial intelligence infrastructure landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, engage, and build relationships with key players such as hyperscalers, data platforms, AI builders, and standards bodies.
Construct and manage a pipeline of high-leverage opportunities, including marketplace listings, platform integrations, and co-marketing efforts.
Broker relationships to shape emerging standards so Walrus integrates smoothly into agentic workflows.
Gather external data points to assist leadership in developing a cohesive cross-functional strategy.
Lead complex negotiations and contract discussions to ensure mutually advantageous terms.
Oversee deal outcomes cross-functionally from signing through integration and beyond.

Requirements

Bring seven to ten plus years of experience in strategic partnerships, ecosystem alliances, or corporate and business development within data infrastructure, AI, or enterprise software.
Demonstrate a successful track record of closing intricate deals with large platforms or enterprises involving multiple stakeholders.
Possess strong technical curiosity to understand complex technical models, architectures, and agentic workflows.
Act as a creative dealmaker capable of structuring unique business relationships without relying on templates.
Show passion for decentralizing data infrastructure and an interest in Web3 technologies.
Maintain high ethical standards and appreciate direct communication.
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Commit to traveling twenty percent or more of the time, including internationally.
Successfully complete a background check covering employment history, education, and criminal history.
