About this role

Professionals who thrive on navigating complex supply chains, partnering closely with engineering teams, and blending technical depth with sharp commercial strategy will find a strong fit in this role. CoreWeave operates the essential cloud platform for AI, building and scaling infrastructure that supports leading AI labs and global enterprises. As a Staff Technical Sourcing Manager, you will serve as the primary commercial lead for hardware technologies and data center infrastructure categories, overseeing everything from supplier selection to contract execution and lifecycle management. The position exists to build supply resilience and optimize total cost of ownership in a market defined by scarce capacity and long lead times. Successful candidates combine strong financial modeling skills with the technical fluency needed to engage credibly with engineering stakeholders and influence supplier roadmaps.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies and roadmaps for assigned hardware portfolios to align with business growth.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the sourcing process, including running RFI, RFQ, and RFP events and evaluating vendor proposals.
  • Negotiate complex, high-value commercial agreements covering pricing, capacity commitments, warranty, liability, and intellectual property.
  • Build bottom-up should-cost models and total cost of ownership analyses to inform negotiation strategy and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Establish supplier scorecards and lead business reviews to monitor cost, quality, delivery, and ongoing performance metrics.
  • Partner with legal teams to draft and administer master supply agreements, long-term agreements, and statements of work.

What you need

  • Possess eight or more years of experience in technical sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain management within a cloud, hyperscaler, or high-technology hardware industry.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, supply chain, business administration, or a related technical field, or demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that achieve measurable cost, quality, and supply objectives.
  • Exhibit exceptional negotiation, influencing, and consensus-building skills capable of guiding complex commercial agreements to signature.
  • Maintain strong command of should-cost modeling, total cost of ownership analysis, and data-driven financial fluency.
  • Bring sufficient technical depth to engage credibly with engineering teams regarding requirements, trade-offs, and supplier proposals.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in a technical or engineering field, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
  • Experience sourcing at hyperscale, including managing multi-tier supply bases and negotiating capacity allocation.
  • Experience partnering with Contract Manufacturers, Original Design Manufacturers, and OEMs across global footprints.
  • Working knowledge of data center hardware architecture including compute, networking, storage, power, and thermal systems.
  • Familiarity with supply chain planning, procurement, and contract lifecycle management systems.
