About this role

The Staff Technical Program Manager, Managed Intelligence role at Crusoe in San Francisco is a full-time position responsible for directing end-to-end program delivery across the Managed Inference platform. This position suits an experienced technical program leader eager to build operational frameworks and scale sustainable AI infrastructure.

Role Overview

Crusoe is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager for Managed Intelligence to connect model engineering, IaaS, product, and data center operations in San Francisco, CA. In this full-time position, the professional will own multi-quarter release planning, dependency governance, and executive communication for the Managed Inference platform. This platform represents one of the company's fastest-growing areas where customers run production Large Language Model workloads. Because technical program management frameworks are still developing at Crusoe, the incumbent will actively shape how the function operates rather than inheriting existing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end program delivery, multi-quarter release planning, dependency governance, and executive communication across the Managed Inference platform.
Drive complex, high-risk program management initiatives, including model version rollouts, inference optimization campaigns, SLA readiness for new GPU hardware, and multi-tenant capacity planning.
Coordinate across Model Engineering, IaaS, Cloud Foundations, Data Center Operations, and external model providers to keep programs unblocked.
Proactively identify and surface risks related to model serving, reliability, capacity constraints, and vendor timelines.
Build lightweight, scalable execution frameworks, maintain real-time dashboards, and deliver data-driven executive updates.
Manage Phase 0 pre-launch planning for model onboarding on new GPU generations, validating firmware, drivers, CUDA, ROCm, and commissioning criteria.
Provide stakeholder leadership by driving alignment and pushing back effectively across technical engineering, product, and operations leadership.

Requirements

Bring 7+ years of professional experience as a Technical Program Manager in fast-paced technical environments.
Possess working familiarity with LLM inference and model serving, including batching strategies, quantization approaches, and performance tradeoffs.
Demonstrate experience with multi-tenant systems, covering isolation, quota management, and SLA enforcement.
Maintain awareness of fine-tuning and alignment workflows to govern program timelines and technical risks.
Exhibit a proven ability to thrive in low-structure execution environments by building execution models from scratch.
Display exceptional executive communication skills for delivering clear, data-driven, decision-oriented updates.
Actively use AI tools daily to improve program execution, risk detection, and communication.
Demonstrate cross-functional influence to drive alignment without direct authority.

Nice to Have

1+ years of experience working with teams building platforms or services for AI inference and/or training.
Direct experience governing model onboarding programs across GPU generations such as firmware, driver, and stack validation.
Experience coaching or mentoring junior Technical Program Managers in a high-growth setting.
Exposure to multi-site or globally distributed engineering teams.
Background at a Series D to Series F company or within a high-performing AI infrastructure team at a hyperscaler.
