About this role

The Staff Technical Program Manager for Deployments role at Crusoe is an on-site position based in San Francisco, California, focusing on leading critical infrastructure and GPU deployment programs. This opportunity is well-suited for an experienced technical program manager who wants to shape the future of sustainable AI cloud infrastructure and mentor emerging talent.

Role Overview

Crusoe is seeking a dedicated Staff Technical Program Manager to lead deployment programs including new site builds, capacity expansions, and modular Spark data center rollouts. In this capacity, the professional will govern the entire deployment lifecycle, starting from initial chip vendor engagement all the way to first customer cluster delivery. Because the TPM frameworks are still actively being built, this position offers a unique chance to define operational structures rather than simply following existing ones.

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end infrastructure deployments for new sites and capacity expansions, managing chip vendor dependencies, architecture updates, cloud foundations, and commissioning gate frameworks.
Lead Deployment Phase 0 from the Cloud TPM perspective by defining firmware version targets, DOCA targets, DRI matrices, and commissioning gate criteria prior to project kickoffs.
Manage complex, compounding cross-SKU dependencies while active production programs operate concurrently with capacity expansion initiatives.
Build and maintain real-time execution dashboards to deliver clear, data-driven executive updates that highlight decision elements without needing follow-up.
Govern cross-organizational dependencies autonomously and proactively without waiting for formal escalation authority.
Coach more junior TPMs in technical depth, risk identification, and executive communication.
Actively drive AI tool integration across programs to improve tracking, risk detection, and communication.

Requirements

Bring ten or more years of experience as a Technical Program Manager with a proven background of owning infrastructure deployment programs end-to-end at a hyperscaler, GPU cloud provider, or AI infrastructure company, including large-scale capacity expansion projects.
Possess deep, working fluency in GPU architecture across SKU generations, firmware lifecycles, compute orchestration, SDN, storage, networking topologies, and monitoring tools.
Demonstrate direct hardware partner engagement experience with personal ownership of NVIDIA or OEM certification and validation timelines.
Utilize AI tools daily for program-level outcomes such as risk detection, dependency mapping, data analysis, and executive communication.
Exhibit a proven ability to define deployment engagement models from scratch and drive cross-organizational alignment at the VP and SVP levels without formal authority.
Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting clear, decision-oriented updates to executive stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Experience defining or substantially redesigning a commissioning gate framework for site deployments.
Experience coaching or developing junior technical program managers in technical depth and program execution.
