About this role
Tactiq is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for Product Surfaces to own meaningful product areas and turn ambiguous intent into reliable production systems. This remote-friendly opportunity in Sydney suits an autonomous engineer who thrives on independent decision-making and end-to-end product ownership.
Role Overview
This is a deeply hands-on engineering position where product direction arrives as a rough prototype or opportunity rather than a detailed specification. Candidates must naturally navigate the surrounding product system, including permissions, billing, onboarding, and observability, before building the solution. Initial focus areas may include native mobile and desktop applications, AI Dictation, or MCP and AI-assistant experiences. Success means shipping substantial product areas independently, ensuring robust production behavior, and making systems progressively more autonomous for both humans and AI agents.
