Role Overview

Tenstorrent is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for Cloud Infrastructure to design and operate the systems powering its advanced AI cloud environment. This hybrid role is located in Santa Clara, California, and is well-suited for professionals with a strong background in platform infrastructure, site reliability engineering, and backend development.

Key Responsibilities

Create and enhance backend services and platform integrations supporting both on-premise and public cloud AI infrastructure.
Advance infrastructure automation using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks like Terraform and Ansible.
Enhance platform dependability through comprehensive observability, monitoring, alerting, and operational response across the technology stack.
Collaborate closely with peers, end-users, and specialists to translate complex infrastructure requirements into robust systems.
Provide technical leadership and sound engineering judgment to support team scaling and continuous learning.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience as a software engineer designing and launching complex production applications and services.
Proficiency in Python, with additional knowledge of Go or TypeScript considered a plus.
Practical background working with Kubernetes across bare metal, virtual machines, and cloud infrastructure, with AWS experience being advantageous.
Familiarity with production operations and observability spanning hardware, system, and application tiers.
Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology in compliance with federal laws and regulations.

Nice to Have

Deep expertise in network automation, storage platforms, or application and cloud security.

Salary and Benefits

Total compensation ranges from $100,000 to $500,000, encompassing base salary and variable compensation targets. Final offers are determined by individual experience, skills, background, location, and education, and include competitive benefits.
