Role Overview

This position is located in San Francisco, California, requiring three days per week in the office. The engineer will own AI-assisted coding within the Platform Engineering organization, focusing on Developer Infrastructure as a home base.

Key Responsibilities

Prioritize AI-assisted development initiatives using team feedback and workflow data.
Expose internal developer systems via APIs and connect external tools like Claude Code.
Construct execution environments, context systems, and tool access controls for agents.
Automate routine engineering tasks such as security dependency updates and bug fixes.
Implement automated checks and evaluations to verify AI-generated pull requests.
Lead cross-team technical initiatives and measure the impact of tooling on delivery.

Requirements

Ten or more years of software engineering experience with production systems ownership.
Background in creating developer tools, automation, internal APIs, or CI/CD pipelines.
Practical experience utilizing AI coding agents and tools.
Strong system design and software engineering fundamentals.
Experience leading cross-functional technical projects from conception to adoption.
Verbal and written communication skills suitable for technical leadership.

Nice to Have

Experience designing agent harnesses, evaluation frameworks, or automated pull request flows.
Background in static analysis, code review tools, or automated testing.
History of improving engineering productivity or developer experience metrics.
Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems or monolith decomposition.
Public contributions to open-source developer tools or AI-assisted development.
