Key Responsibilities

Build systems that allow artificial intelligence to autonomously reason, experiment, and deploy live website modifications.
Architect a scalable, observable, and fault-tolerant experiment engine capable of handling millions of daily events.
Design and develop backend infrastructure utilizing Python, serverless AWS, and high-volume data pipelines.
Shape engineering principles and evolve architecture across microservices, data ingestion, and large language model systems.
Mentor mid-level and senior engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and architectural design documentation.
Partner with product, data science, and AI teams to translate complex business goals into resilient technical solutions.
Prototype innovative features quickly, balancing rapid experimentation with production-grade engineering rigor.
Enhance system performance, security, and reliability in preparation for SOC 2 compliance and enterprise clients.

Requirements

Eight or more years of professional experience designing and delivering production-scale software systems.
Deep technical expertise across Python, AWS, and JavaScript for comprehensive backend and frontend architecture.
Demonstrated background in architecting distributed systems, including event-driven models, microservices, or data-intensive frameworks.
Prior experience serving in a technical lead or staff engineer capacity, establishing engineering standards and reviewing designs.
Strong bias toward action, simplicity, documentation, and timely delivery.
Genuine enthusiasm for artificial intelligence, automated experimentation, and adaptive systems.

Nice to Have

Previous startup experience or background taking products from zero to one.
Practical production experience involving large language models.
Familiarity with ClickHouse, ecommerce systems, or analytics infrastructure.
