Role Overview

Shuttlebase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a full-time position based in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. This role suits an experienced developer with a background in building scalable systems and an interest in generative artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and build scalable systems, spanning from backend APIs to frontend dashboards, designed to process tens of millions of web events daily.
Design large-scale data infrastructure to analyze website building, performance, and optimization.
Train and integrate large language models into production to automatically hypothesize, generate, and validate website variants.
Shape the engineering culture, technical stack, architecture, and team processes.
Experiment, prototype, and iterate rapidly across research, product, artificial intelligence, and scale.

Requirements

At least 5 years of full-stack experience, with Python, JS, and AWS preferred.
Experience leading teams or driving major engineering projects.
Background in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or equivalent hands-on mastery.
Passion for artificial intelligence and a desire to build with large language models in real-world applications.

Nice to Have

Previous startup experience with a proven ability to thrive in zero-to-one environments.
Experience training or deploying machine learning models in production environments.
