Staff Product Manager, US Public Sector
About this role
Professionals who thrive in complex regulatory environments and enjoy bridging the gap between high-security government mandates and advanced data infrastructure will find this opportunity deeply rewarding. Databricks builds a unified data and AI platform relied upon by thousands of organizations worldwide, and the public sector team specifically focuses on extending these capabilities to federal civilian agencies, state and local governments, the Department of Defense, and the Intelligence Community.
In this capacity, the product manager will own the end-to-end roadmap for US public sector offerings across commercial clouds, sovereign regions, and classified environments up to Top Secret. Day-to-day work involves designing new features, scaling compliance frameworks, and acting as the internal voice for government customers while coordinating closely with research and development, security, legal, go-to-market, and field teams.
This role exists to ensure that the latest data and artificial intelligence innovations reach mission owners securely without compromising sovereignty or compliance. Success requires deep familiarity with federal accreditation standards, strong cross-functional leadership, and the ability to navigate large, complex bureaucratic organizations to drive product adoption.

- Collaborate with security assurance, corporate operations, sales, and engineering groups to define the company-wide public-sector compliance roadmap.
- Partner directly with cloud providers to coordinate product launches and secure necessary technical capabilities for regulated customers.
What you need
- Bring product management experience working on enterprise B2B or SaaS products with a track record of delivering successful customer-facing features.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead customer conversations, write product requirement documents, define success metrics, and guide engineering execution.

- Show experience launching enterprise products and driving adoption within large, complex organizations including government agencies.
