About this role

Role Overview

Deepgram is seeking a Staff Product Manager for Product-Led Growth to oversee the developer journey from initial discovery to active customer engagement across a remote setup in the USA. This opening is well-suited for a hands-on, AI-native product leader who thrives in a founding-era environment where systems are built from the ground up rather than inherited.

Key Responsibilities

Own the growth of the product-led growth funnel metrics, designing and executing experiments and product modifications to improve performance.
Shape the user experience across onboarding, the developer console, and activation pathways by deciding what features ship and why.
Establish the complete operational system for the area from scratch, implementing business rhythms, data-driven optimization, and experimentation platforms.
Maintain a weekly operational cadence of shipping hypotheses, measuring outcomes objectively, and planning subsequent bets.
Collaborate across multiple departments, partnering with developer relations, marketing, sales, customer success, and data analysts to bridge gaps in acquisition and handoffs.

Requirements

Mandatory hands-on experience owning a product-led growth funnel metric, such as activation, conversion, retention, or acquisition, for products used without salesperson intervention.
Proven background as an effective product manager capable of setting direction, making decisions under uncertainty, and demonstrating measurable outcomes.
Technical aptitude to prototype, analyze engineering tradeoffs, write SQL to verify hunches, and perform independent data analysis.
Demonstrated ability to build complete systems from scratch, including operational rhythms, reporting mechanisms, and experimentation tools.
Genuine AI fluency demonstrated through daily integration of artificial intelligence into workflows, thorough verification of outputs, and informed perspectives on AI limitations.
Critical thinking regarding data validity, with a reflexive habit of verifying whether metrics reflect reality or measurement artifacts.
Strong executive communication skills characterized by concise decision-leading, transparent methodology, and resilience under constructive pushback.

Nice to Have

Background working with developer or API products, alongside an understanding of how developers adopt software development kits and APIs.
Perspectives on how AI coding agents impact software discovery and integration, particularly when treating an AI agent as a user.
Computer science or engineering background, or a portfolio of shipped personal side projects.
Familiarity with specific tooling such as Superset, Heap, and GrowthBook.
Previous experience working within an organization that successfully balanced both product-led growth and enterprise business motions.
