Role Overview

Staff Product Manager, AI Applications is a full-time, remote position based in the USA at Deepgram. The person in this role will own the strategy, direction, and roadmap for a new line of applications that put voice AI directly in the hands of knowledge workers and consumers. Reporting to the VP of Self-Serve, the individual will build this product line into a profitable business while working closely with engineering, research, design, and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Own the strategy for Deepgram's AI applications, deciding which products to build, identifying target users, and defending the direction to executives.
Manage the product roadmap, determining release orders and feature tradeoffs from current offerings to future applications.
Drive the business metrics including user acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization to ensure profitability.
Represent the product with partners and customers while managing delivery commitments.
Run the operating rhythm of the team focused on hypotheses, shipped changes, honest measurements, and real user usage.
Partner daily with research, engineering, design, and marketing teams to integrate the user voice into every decision.
Create mockups, wireframes, and working prototypes to communicate product ideas effectively.

Requirements

Excellent product management judgment with a proven track record of setting direction, shipping outcomes, and leading cross-functional work.
Experience building and shipping a consumer or prosumer application that people chose and paid for, including ownership of the business funnel.
Demonstrated zero-to-one product definition experience taking a product from an idea to a first version adopted by real users.
Deep AI fluency demonstrated through personally building and shipping AI into end-user applications.
Technical depth to reason with engineering about models, latency, privacy, platform tradeoffs, and code.
Strong design sense to build simple interfaces and communicate ideas through grounded user research and prototypes.
Rigorous analytical judgment regarding metrics and measurement validity.
Clear communication skills with executives under pushback and high attention.
