About this role

Enterprises struggle to govern artificial intelligence because unmonitored models, cloud endpoints, and self-hosted tools often appear across networks without documentation or IT approval. OneTrust seeks a Staff Product Manager to lead the Detection product area, establishing a foundational discovery layer that finds shadow AI assets and turns them into a unified, governable inventory. This role exists because every downstream compliance obligation, risk assessment, and policy control depends entirely on the completeness and accuracy of the discovered asset data.

The incoming product leader will own the comprehensive detection strategy, balancing coverage roadmaps across managed model services, custom pipelines, and vendor features while leading geographically distributed engineering, design, and data science teams through ambiguous problems. Candidates who succeed here possess deep technical knowledge of AI deployment mechanics, excel at making hard tradeoffs regarding precision and recall, and can translate emerging regulatory frameworks into concrete product requirements.

What you will do

  • Own the product strategy and coverage roadmap for the Detection area across multiple related products, balancing delivery schedules and build versus partner decisions.
  • Define the Shadow AI detection strategy by discovering unsanctioned models and agents, attributing owners, risk-ranking assets, and routing them into remediation workflows.
  • Lead geographically distributed engineering, design, data science, and detection research teams through ambiguous, discovery-heavy problem spaces.
  • Partner closely with Security, IT, Legal, and design-partner customers to test detection signals against real-world enterprise adoption patterns.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert on detection mechanics, advising internal stakeholders and communicating strategy clearly to executives.
  • Translate requirements from the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, and emerging state legislation into concrete product and inventory requirements.

What you need

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Bring 8 or more years of professional Product Management experience.
  • Demonstrate proven success managing a product through its full lifecycle, including end-of-life planning.
  • Have experience shipping discovery, inventory, or detection products in security, data discovery, asset management, CSPM/SSPM/CASB, observability, or a comparable domain.
  • Possess working fluency with cloud platforms, AI services, on-premises infrastructure, and self-hosted inference stacks to contribute effectively in architecture reviews.
  • Maintain experience with integration and connector-heavy products, including maintaining integrations as upstream APIs change.
  • Show recent experience using Agile or Scrum methodology in a professional environment.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and regulation, including the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and ISO/IEC 42001
  • Background in enterprise security or IT tooling, or experience selling to CISO and Chief Data or AI Officer buyers
  • Experience with data-quality or ML-driven classification problems where precision and recall are negotiated with customers
  • Exposure to agentic systems, MCP, or AI supply-chain risk

Benefits

  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage
  • Flexible PTO
  • Equity RSUs
  • Annual performance bonus opportunities
  • Retirement account support
  • 14+ weeks of paid parental leave
