Role Overview

Deepgram seeks a remote Staff Product Manager for Agentic Experiences to own the end-to-end product journey for AI coding agents discovering and using speech-to-text APIs. This role is ideal for an AI-native former engineer who loves building prototypes, designing self-optimizing systems, and shaping the future of voice AI infrastructure across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

Own the complete lifecycle of the AI agent experience on Deepgram, covering discovery, recommendation, integration, onboarding, production usage, and verification.
Build and maintain a measurement system to optimize every stage of the agent funnel as behavior changes.
Manage agent-specific product surfaces, including signup, authentication, trial-key defaults, programmatic key provisioning, console onboarding, and verification tooling.
Define requirements for shared developer platforms such as SDK ergonomics, agent-readable documentation, the Model Context Protocol server, CLI tools, skills packages, and starter templates.
Prototype platform changes directly while partnering with platform-owning teams.
Establish the operating system for the role, incorporating business rhythms, data-driven optimization, and experimentation platforms.
Leverage agent traffic scale to create fast feedback loops that continuously improve the product.

Requirements

Strong product management judgment with a proven track record of setting direction, deciding under uncertainty, shipping outcomes, and leading cross-functional work.
Background as a senior software engineer or higher before transitioning to product management, with the ability to read and write real code and reason deeply with engineering teams.
Deep AI fluency demonstrated through personally built and shipped public AI software such as agents, MCP servers, CLI tools, evaluation harnesses, and model-integrated tools.
Proven ability to build or deploy complete systems from scratch, including reporting, optimization, and experimentation platforms.
Fluency in product-led growth and understanding of how developers and AI agents adopt APIs.
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to clearly communicate decisions to executives.

Nice to Have

Experience building specifically for AI agents as consumers, including MCP servers, agent harnesses, CLI tools, agent-readable documentation, and tool definitions.
Background working with voice, audio, or real-time streaming systems.
Demonstrated track record of open-source work with genuine adoption.
Experience working in companies with both self-serve and enterprise go-to-market motions.
