Role Overview

Crusoe is seeking a full-time Staff Network Production Engineer to lead the physical and logical implementation of its global network in San Francisco, California. This position suits an experienced professional with a strong background in large-scale data center deployments and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Direct the end-to-end deployment of network infrastructure across new and existing data centers, overseeing the process from initial rack and stack to final hand-off.
Convert high-level blueprints from the Network Development team into site-specific implementation plans, configuration templates, and cable maps.
Conduct thorough burn-in testing and site acceptance testing for new network clusters to guarantee flawless handovers to operations.
Utilize Python, Ansible, and Zero Touch Provisioning to streamline the configuration and staging of numerous network devices at once.
Direct on-site partners, structured cabling vendors, and data center providers to guarantee physical layer standards satisfy high-performance computing needs.
Oversee global hardware assets and direct the turn-up of new edge interconnects and backbone capacity.

Requirements

Possess eight or more years of background in network engineering, emphasizing large-scale data center deployments and infrastructure projects.
Demonstrate mastery of physical layer standards, including structured cabling, optical transceivers, and facility power and cooling specifications.
Exhibit hands-on experience configuring specific routing and switching platforms within a leaf-spine architecture.
Understand routing and network protocols such as BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and LLDP for large-scale fabric provisioning.
Bring proven capability in managing multiple intricate projects across different time zones and physical locations simultaneously.
Hold a bachelor’s degree in a technical field or have equivalent practical experience gained in hyperscale or internet service provider environments.
Demonstrate diagnostic expertise in identifying complex physical layer and link-layer problems using standard testing tools.
