Role Overview

The Staff Data Scientist focuses on ads measurement, identity, and signal quality within the Ads Data Science team. The professional in this position takes deep ownership of high-impact problem spaces by designing identity resolution models, advancing lift methodologies, and maximizing signal for predictive performance. This role works closely with engineering, product, and sales teams to influence strategic direction and set a high technical bar.

Key Responsibilities

Design probabilistic models for identity resolution and link on-platform and off-platform actions while honoring privacy.
Manage the statistical rigor behind Brand and Conversion Lift products and innovate experimental design for high-velocity testing.
Define strategies for new signal sources and mathematically quantify their value to improve bidding efficiency and return on ad spend.
Build objective functions and truth sets to validate identity, measure incremental impact, and train models.
Collaborate across departments and mentor team members on modeling, experimentation, and measurement best practices.

Requirements

Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Operations Research.
Master's holders require 10+ years of applied science or data science industry experience, or 6+ years for Ph.D. holders.
Deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem.
Demonstrated expertise in scalable measurement and experimentation, identity graph creation, or predictive modeling with signal loss.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and statistical programming using Python or R.
Experience with machine learning, optimization techniques, causal inference, and A/B testing.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with strong communication skills.

Base salary range of $217,000 to $303,900 USD.
