TRM Labs is seeking a Staff Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join its distributed team across the United States on a remote basis. This role suits an experienced CTI leader who wants to drive complex investigations and build scalable analytical standards for a mission-driven organization.

Role Overview

TRM Labs builds the AI Investigations platform trusted by financial institutions and law enforcement to disrupt financial crime globally. As a Staff Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will manage high-complexity investigations from initial indicators to fully attributed threat actors and campaigns. You will act as a mentor and standard-bearer, defining methods and workflows that empower the entire analytical team. Operating within a fast-paced and async-first environment, you will combine technical indicators with open-source intelligence and financial data to protect global networks.

Key Responsibilities

Execute complex investigations end-to-end, tracking single seed indicators like hashes, domains, IPs, aliases, or wallets through to attributed threat campaigns.
Uncover new collection opportunities to anticipate cyber threats and map command and infrastructure, malware families, and tactics.
Fuse technical telemetry with open-source intelligence and identity research, following findings directly into financial infrastructure when required.
Establish rigorous analytical standards, guiding team members through exemplary tradecraft and defensible judgment calls rather than rigid processes.
Collaborate closely with engineering and data science teams to convert investigative workflows into scalable capabilities and tooling.
Deliver timely, high-confidence intelligence products, briefings, and actor profiles to internal teams, incident responders, leadership, and external partners.

Requirements

Bring eight or more years of dedicated experience in cyber threat intelligence, intelligence analysis, incident-driven investigations, or closely related analytical disciplines.
Demonstrate strong AI fluency, actively utilizing tools like Claude to build agentic workflows that scale investigations while applying strict human quality control.
Proven history of elevating team performance by shaping workflow standards, improving processes, and mentoring fellow analysts.
Direct background partnering with engineering, product, or data science to scale repeatable investigative methodologies.
Superior capability in combining direct collection and OSINT to resolve complex identities and behaviors across fragmented data sources.
Experience generating finished intelligence reports, such as actor profiles, attribution assessments, infrastructure mappings, and campaign reporting.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills tailored for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
High comfort level navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities quickly, and operating within an intense, fast-moving environment.

Nice to Have

Working operational proficiency in foreign languages heavily utilized by cyber actors, such as Russian or Chinese, particularly within forums or persona work.
A public industry presence, including published research, conference talks, or participation in invite-only sharing circles.
Hands-on cryptographic or blockchain tracing capabilities to bridge technical threat findings with financial rails, wallets, sanctions exposure, or laundering paths.
