Role Overview

The Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect - AI & ML Engineer position at Databricks involves acting as a technical expert for machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives. The person in this role collaborates with field engineering teams and solution architects to help strategic organizations design and scale robust applications using the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.

Key Responsibilities

Design production-level machine learning and artificial intelligence workloads, covering end-to-end pipelines, training and inference optimization, agents, and MLOps.
Act as a trusted practitioner for enterprise generative artificial intelligence solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation architectures, agentic systems, guardrails, and observability monitoring.
Build, scale, and optimize customer workloads across multiple domains.
Assist solution architects during technical sales by providing advanced support spanning feature engineering, model tracking, serving, and monitoring.
Partner with internal product and engineering groups to share customer feedback and influence the product roadmap.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of hands-on industry machine learning experience as an ML engineer or AI engineer.
Background in building and maintaining production-grade cloud infrastructure supporting machine learning deployments, or experience with large language models, agentic systems, vector databases, and fine-tuning tools.
Understanding of data engineering concepts.
Ability to communicate technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Capability to meet technical training and role outcomes within the first 3 months of employment.
Located in the Tel Aviv area with a commutable distance to the Herzliya office.

Nice to Have

5 or more years of customer-facing experience in pre-sales or post-sales capacities.
