Role Overview

Databricks is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer (L5) - Distributed Data Systems for a full-time position based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Candidates will join teams such as SQL Analytics Console, Jobs and Workflows, or Developer Ecosystem to build and scale infrastructure that handles large-scale customer workloads, developer tools, and business intelligence interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with product management and team members to design and build modern software products.
Build and manage consoles, asynchronous customer workloads, developer software development kits, command line interfaces, and Terraform integration.
Architect, develop, deploy, and operate large-scale distributed systems.

Requirements

Hold a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
Possess seven or more years of experience utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Demonstrate understanding of front-end architecture, user experience design, and modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, VueJs, or Ember.
Bring strong familiarity with server-side technologies including Node.js, Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, Go, or JVM.
Have working knowledge of SQL, cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes, and experience with large-scale distributed systems.
